組立式の木製の華奢な棚を買つてしまつたら、ついてきた捻子は使はない、一段太い捻子に交換する事、棚板の高さを決めたら全部捻子を打ち込んで固定するといくらかマシになる。裏板にも捻子留めした方がいい。

大量に本を置くならがつしりしたスチール棚を買ふ事。スチール棚でもボルトをがつちり締めつけないと崩潰するので要注意。横腹に鉄骨を斜めにかますなどの補強をしておくと良い。
